Australia beat Scotland by 70 runs in the second T20I on Friday. With this, they have secured a 2-0 in the three-match series and won.
Under Mitchell Marsh’s leadership, Australia claimed victory in the first match with a convincing 7-wicket win with 62 balls to spare. The second game was also well dominated by the Australian cricketers. The wicket-keeper batter Josh Inglis shined with a brilliant 103 off 49 balls, and helped Australia reach 196 for 4 at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh. In response, Scotland was bowled out for 126.
The 29-year-old batter, Josh Inglis, set a new record for the fastest T20I century for Australia. He beat his previous joint-record of a 47-ball century. He also equaled the record for the fastest century by a wicketkeeper from a full-member nation, tying with South Africa’s Quinton de Kock, who scored a 43-ball hundred against the West Indies in 2023.
