Bangladesh hosted India again in June 2015 for a one-off Test match. This match ended in a draw, mainly due to persistent rain. India posted a massive 462/6, with Shikhar Dhawan scoring 173 and Murali Vijay adding 150. Bangladesh fought hard but was saved by the weather.

The Era of Competitive Spirit – 2017 Onwards

In 2017, Bangladesh played their first-ever Test match on Indian soil. The match took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. India posted a mammoth 687/6 declared, with Virat Kohli scoring 204 and Wriddhiman Saha adding 106*. Bangladesh put up a valiant fight, with Mushfiqur Rahim scoring 127, but they couldn’t avoid defeat, losing by 208 runs.

In November 2019, India and Bangladesh faced off in a historic two-match Test series, which included the first-ever day-night Test match for both teams, played with a pink ball. The match took place at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. India won the series 2-0.
