RCB Prepares For Major Overhaul Ahead Of IPL 2025

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is gearing up for a major change ahead of IPL 2025. RCB is determined to make an impact in the upcoming season with a new captain and a new team.

RCB always enters every IPL season with hope and determination. Their passionate fans wear red and support them passionately, hoping that every year will eventually be their year. Despite their efforts, RCB often disappoints. However, their performance in IPL 2024 has lived up to the fans’ expectations and demonstrated their potential and determination.

With the IPL 2024 coming to an end and the IPL 2025 mega auction approaching, RCB is gearing up for a revamp. The team aims to address its weak points and strengthen it. Meanwhile, RCB is set to make major changes after the tournament, including removing some players and bringing in a new captain.

One of the hottest topics is which three players RCB will retain. Although the BCCI is yet to release guidelines on the number of players each team can retain, expectations are higher. If RCB can retain three players, Virat Kohli will be the first name on the list. Kohli’s presence was crucial for RCB and added to their huge fan base. Considering its impact and unmatched performance, abandoning it would be a costly mistake.

The second player who is likely to be retained is Rajat Patidar. Known for his brilliant performances, Patidar showed great potential and became an integral part of the RCB franchise. As RCB aims to build a core team of Indian talent, Patidhar is almost certain to be included in the squad.

The third retention spot is expected to go to Mohammed Siraj. Siraj has been the backbone of RCB’s pace attack. Despite a slow start in the last season, Siraj adapted well to the T20 format and delivered notable performances, making him a key player for RCB.

RCB’s strategy for the upcoming season seems to focus on building a new team while retaining these three pivotal players. They are not likely to retain any foreign players, including veterans like Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, to save budget for fresh talent. The team is looking for a new opener who could potentially lead the team in the future.

The bowling department, especially the fast bowling department, will also see major changes. RCB aims to strengthen the team with players who have performed well at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Additionally, the team will focus on recruiting good spinners to plug the gaps identified in the previous season.
