After losing the toss Bangladesh batted first and set a target of 128 runs. Unfortunately for them, their innings did not start well. Parvez Hossain Emon and Litton Das were dismissed early, leaving the team in trouble at just 5 runs. Najmul Hossain Shanto, the captain, tried to stabilize the innings but could only score 27 runs off 25 balls. Towhid Hridoy and Mahmudullah also struggled, scoring 12 and 1 run, respectively.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the only Bangladeshi batsman who stood firm, scoring 35 not out off 32 balls. He hit 3 fours during his innings. The team managed to score only 127 runs in 19.5 overs, with the batting performance failing to live up to expectations. The Bangladesh team struggled against the Indian bowlers, who put on a strong display throughout the innings.

India’s bowling attack was led by Arshdeep Singh, who was impressive with the ball. He took 3 wickets for just 14 runs in his 3.5 overs. Chasing a target of 128 runs, India started their innings with confidence. Sanju Samson, the wicketkeeper-batsman, made a quick 29 runs off 19 balls before getting caught out by Rishad Hossain off Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s bowling. Abhishek Sharma played aggressively but was run out for 16 runs. Suryakumar Yadav also contributed with 29 runs off just 14 balls but was caught by Jaker Ali off Mustafizur Rahman’s bowling.

With the score at 80 runs for 3 wickets, Hardik Pandya and Nitish Kumar Reddy took charge to finish the innings on a high note. Hardik played a brilliant innings and scored 39 not out off just 16 balls where he hit 5 fours and 2 sixes. Nitish supported him well and scored 16 not out of 15 balls. Their partnership led India to a total of 132 runs in just 11.5 overs, successfully chasing down the target with ease.

Bangladesh’s bowlers struggled to contain the Indian batsmen. Shoriful Islam bowled well but went wicketless, giving away 17 runs in his 2 overs. Taskin Ahmed had a rough outing, conceding 44 runs in just 2.5 overs without taking a wicket. Mustafizur Rahman managed to take 1 wicket but gave away 36 runs in his 3 overs, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up 1 wicket for 7 runs in his 1 over.
