Rajasthan Royals off-spinner R Ashwin has selected his all-time Indian Premier League (IPL) XI. The 37-year-old chose MS Dhoni from Chennai Super Kings as the team’s captain.
Ashwin selected Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as his team’s openers based on their strong IPL performances. For the number three spot, he chose Suresh Raina, a left-hander who has been a key player for CSK over the years.
For the number four position, Ashwin picked Suryakumar Yadav, who has been a strong presence in the middle order for Mumbai Indians in recent years. Ashwin chose AB de Villiers, Mr. 360, for the number five spot. Over the years, de Villiers played some brilliant innings for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
MS Dhoni who is still counted among the top finishers of World Cricket, Ashwin picked him for the number six spot and made him the captain of his team. Under his captaincy, Chennai. Super Kings have won five titles.
For his bowling lineup, Ashwin selected two spinners and three fast bowlers. He chose Sunil Narine and Rashid Khan as the spinners.
