One major achievement was that Rohit Sharma surpassed MS Dhoni to become India’s most successful captain in T20I. After taking the captaincy from Kohli, Rohit Sharma has proven his worth and has done excellent in the shortest format of the game.

Rohit Sharma has led India to 42 wins out of 55 T20I matches as captain. He also has one tie and 12 losses. According to a report, his win percentage is 76.36%. In the T20 World Cup, Rohit has secured five wins from seven games.

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni led the team to 41 wins out of 72 T20I matches. Under his leadership, India also lost 28 games and had one tie, resulting in a win percentage of 56.94%. Dhoni captained India in 33 T20 World Cup matches, securing 20 wins, which is the highest in the tournament’s history.

In this match, team India bundled out Ireland on 96 runs in 16 overs, thanks to sheer bowling performance by the pacers. While chasing these runs, India achieved the target in 12.2 overs at the loss of two wickets. Rohit Sharma scored the maximum 52 runs for the team.
