On Sunday, the national selectors announced that team India would change in the second match against Bangladesh for the two-match Test series. The Indian team defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first Test played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
The hosts won the first Test with five sessions remaining. Before the series started, there were rumors that some Indian players, including fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, might be rested for the second game to manage their workload.
“The Men’s Selection Committee has retained the same squad for the second Test of the IDFC FIRST Bank Test series against Bangladesh,” the BCCI said in a statement.
Before the first Test against Bangladesh, captain Rohit Sharma said that India would use the same approach they followed during the Test series against England earlier this year.
Star Indian off-spinner had a great all-round performance. He grabbed six wickets in the fourth innings of the match and while batting in the first, he smashed a solid hundred(113) against Bangladesh.
