Huge Record For Arshdeep Singh, Becomes Most Successful Indian Pacer Surpassing This Star

In the 2nd T20I between South Africa and India, team India beat the Proteas by 11 runs. This is the 2nd win for India in the four-match T20I series, with one match still to go. In this match, apart from the Centurion Tilak Varma, fast bowler Arshdeep Singh also has a huge record to his name.

Arshdeep Singh Joins The Elite List

Now, Arshdeep Singh is the most successful Indian fast bowler, with 92 wickets to his name in just 59 games. His bowling figure reads 3 for 37 runs, and he broke the record of superstar pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar Arshdeep Singh is now only behind leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in terms of grabbing most wickets. The 25-year-old bowler also surpassed his bowling partner, Jasprit Bumrah.

Arshdeep performed well with the new ball and in the final overs, helping India become the first team in five years to successfully defend a target in a T20 international at Centurion.

Arshdeep Singh took his first wicket on Wednesday by dismissing Ryan Rickelton during the powerplay. He was able to make the new ball move on the bouncy pitch at SuperSport Park. The left-arm pacer made the most of the pace-friendly conditions in a strong opening spell.

In this match, South Africa won the toss and invited India to bat first. While batting first, India had a poor start where they lost Sanju Samson who returned to the Pavilion without scoring a single run. Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma then took command of the batting and brought India to track. Abhishek returned to Pavilion after scoring 50 runs in 25 balls, where Tilak Varma got a solid hundred and scored 107 runs with the help of eight fours and seven sixes.

South Africa batters tried their best but could not get over the Indian score. Everyone got the start but failed to convert it into a big score due to the impressive bowling of Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy. Marco Jansen scored 50 runs in 17 balls but could not take his team to the finishing line.
