Rohit Sharma will join Team India on this date

The skipper of team India Rohit Sharma will miss the first test between India and Australia in the infamous Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting on November 24. However, according to a Cricbuzz report, Rohit Sharma will join the team on November 24 and is likely to be available for the pink-ball Test in Adelaide starting on December 6.

Why Rohit Sharma Not Playing Perth Test

Rohit Sharma informed the BCCI about his unavailability for the first Test after his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, recently gave birth to a baby boy. However, he is expected to be available for the important day-night Test and is likely to join the India A squad for the practice match against the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra.

Rohit is facing pressure after India’s 3-0 series loss to New Zealand at home. The 37-year-old scored only 91 runs in six innings, with just one half-century, during what turned out to be a historic defeat for the team.

Jasprit Bumrah On Virat Kohli

In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli will have to come up and score the runs for India. The deputy of Rohit Sharma for the first Test, Jasprir Bumrah has said that Kohli will do his work as batter.

“I don’t have to say anything about Virat Kohli the batter, said Bumrah.”

With a lot of attention on Virat Kohli because of his success in Australia and his recent dip in form, Bumrah said he doesn’t have much to add about Kohli. He mentioned that Kohli is professional and knows exactly what he’s doing. Bumrah’s statement was quoted by the ICC.
