Gulbadin Naib’s ‘alleged injury’ has become a hot topic. Gulbadin himself has been actively posting about his injury on social media.

Afghanistan’s historic performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 (T20 World Cup 2024) has brought Gulbadin Naib (Gulbadin Naib) into the limelight. Much has been said about Gulbadin’s ‘alleged injury’ (Gulbadin Naib Injury) during the match against Bangladesh. Some people are calling Gulbadin’s injury on the field an act, while others see it as a masterstroke. Amidst all this, Gulbadin himself is having a lot of fun on social media.

The Afghan pacer shared a photo story on his Instagram handle with his physio, along with a humorous caption. Gulbadin wrote:

“Sometimes miracles do happen.”

Gulbadin’s Instagram story went viral immediately, with people making various comments on it. One user wrote,

“What a great acting.”

A user named Nabeel commented,

“World’s best physio.”

Another user wrote,

“Gulbadin Naib must have said to his physio, ‘Thank you for curing me miraculously! Limping, I suddenly became Usain Bolt.”

A user named Avik called it acting and wrote,

“You did what you had to do to help your team. But now stop acting and just move on.”

Responding to Ashwin’s Post

Actually, Indian off-spinner R. Ashwin had made fun of Gulbadin’s alleged injury. Ashwin posted on X, saying,

“Gulbadin Naib should get a red card.”

After the match, Gulbadin responded to Ashwin’s post. He reposted it, writing,

“In sometimes happy sometimes sad… hamstring”

Gulbadin Fell Down

During the match, Bangladesh was chasing a target of 116 runs. By the time they reached 80 runs, 7 of their players were out. Then, it started drizzling. Afghan coach Jonathan Trott signaled the players to slow down the game, which Gulbadin understood perfectly. Standing in the slip, Gulbadin suddenly fell to the ground, appearing to have pulled a hamstring and seemingly in great pain. The game was then halted due to rain. When everyone looked at the scoreboard, they saw that Afghanistan was ahead by two runs according to the Duckworth-Lewis method. If the match had not resumed, Afghanistan would have won. However, the match resumed after a while, and Gulbadin returned to the field perfectly fine. After the team’s victory, he was seen celebrating energetically. With this win against Bangladesh, Afghanistan joined India in reaching the semi-finals from Group 1, while Australia was knocked out of the tournament.
