On Sunday, September 08, BCCI announced the squad of India for the upcoming Test Series against Bangladesh. Rishabh Pant is back in the Test team, and Yash Dayal got his first call-up. However, Shreyas Iyer was not included in the squad.
Jasprit Bumrah is set to make his comeback to international cricket, having last played during India’s T20 World Cup win in June. He will team up with Mohammed Siraj for the Test series, while Akash Deep and Yash Dayal are the other fast bowlers in the squad.
India has wisely chosen a spin-dominant attack with four spinners in their arsenal namely, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav.
