The captain of the Australian women’s cricket team Alyssa Healy has picked his fab four in the current cricket world. She has picked the Indian star batter Virat Kohli in the list but has ranked him in fourth position.
The other batters on the list include Steve Smith of Australia, Joe Root of England, and Kane Williamson. Kohli, once a dominant force in batting between 2012 and 2019, has seen a dip in form in recent years, especially when compared to his peak performance during that period.
When asked to rank the Fab 4 players, Alyssa Healy placed the former Indian captain Virat Kohli in the last position.
LiSTNR Sports podcast, Healy said, “They all are great but If I go by numbers, Virat will be fourth. He is No.1 in everything else. Based on the number, he is going to sit fourth. I am saying this purely on stats.”
“He plays a lot of cricket, and his stats are remarkable. Kohli is always under pressure because of the expectations of the Indian fans,” she added.
Alyssa Healy ranked Kane Williamson as the best among the Fab 4, highlighting his key role in New Zealand’s success. She pointed out that Williamson has to shoulder more responsibility for his team’s performance, unlike Virat Kohli who has strong teammates.
“Williamson is carrying the New Zealand team. For Virat, there is Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, who can score hundreds.”
