Lucknow Super Giants widely known as LSG has revealed the list of their retained players. Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, and the uncapped players Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni will be kept by the franchise for IPL 2025.
KL Rahul, who has been the captain since the team started in 2022, is unlikely to be kept unless something changes at the last moment. Lucknow Super Giants will also have one right-to-match (RTM) card to use during the auction.
The exact amount for which the five players have been signed is not known yet. However, according to the IPL retention rules, INR 51 crore will be taken from LSG’s budget. If the total amount paid to the five players is more than 51 crore, then the higher amount will be deducted from the INR 120 crore budget that each team has to build their squads for IPL 2025.

Pooran’s value has increased since his first IPL season in 2017 when the Mumbai Indians bought him for a much lower amount. Two years later, the Punjab Kings bought him for a higher amount. In the 2022 mega auction, the Sunrisers Hyderabad paid a big sum for him, but they released him after just one season.
