The Duleep Trophy 2024 kicked off with excitement where India A and India B are clashing with each other, on the other hand, India C and India D are going up against each other.
However, on the opening day, most batters struggled, raising concerns for Team India ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh. However, the bowlers showed a good bowling performance.
Fast bowler Harshit Rana stood out with an impressive bowling display on the first day. However, after taking a wicket, he repeated the same behavior he had shown during IPL 2024, which had previously led to him a fine.
In the India C vs. India D match, Harshit Rana bowled superbly against India C’s captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad. Eventually, Rana dismissed Gaikwad, and after taking his wicket, he made a ‘flying kiss’ gesture towards him. This left fans wondering if the BCCI would take any disciplinary action against Harshit. On the first day, Rana delivered a strong performance, claiming 2 wickets for just 13 runs in 7 overs.
In the IPL 2024 game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Harshit Rana took the wicket of Sunrisers’ batter Mayank Agarwal and then responded with a ‘flying kiss’ gesture toward him.
After this, Harshit Rana was found guilty of violating Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct.
