England has announced the squad for the upcoming five-match ODI Series and three-match T20 series against Australia. For this white-ball series, the England and Wales Cricket Board has introduced five new faces. The star wicket-keeper batter Jonny Bairstow and all-rounder Moeen Ali have not got a place in any of the squads.
Jacob Bethell and Dan Mousley, both all-rounders from Warwickshire, have been selected for their first international T20 series. Other youngsters making into the squad are Jordan Cox, a batter from Essex, John Turner, the fast bowler from Hampshire; and Josh Hull, a left-arm bowler from Leicestershire.
Hull, Bethell, and Turner were picked for both the T20 and ODI teams. On the other hand, Bairstow and Moeen, who played important roles in England’s previous World Cup successes, were left out of the squads, suggesting their time in international cricket could be coming to an end.
