Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh might start his coaching career in the 2025 Indian Premier League season. As reported by Sportstar on Saturday, the Delhi franchise has begun discussions with the cricket legend about taking on a coaching position.
The game display of the Delhi Capitals has been very average for the last two seasons and they have failed to qualify for the playoffs. They parted ways with Ricky Ponting last month and are looking to groom their players around some other name. The former Australian captain was with the team for seven seasons but couldn’t secure a title victory for them.
Yuvraj retired from international cricket in 2019 after winning the IPL with the Mumbai Indians. He played for several teams, including the Punjab Kings, Pune Warriors India, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Mumbai Indians.
Last month, there were reports that Yuvraj might replace Ashish Nehra as the coach of the Gujarat Titans. However, the latest update suggests that Nehra is expected to stay at his designation.
