Sanju Captain In Place Of Rohit, what Is This Plan Of The World Cup Team?

Sanju Samson might be the next captain of India’s T20 team, according to Harbhajan Singh. He suggested that Samson should be included in the T20 World Cup squad and eventually take over the captaincy from Rohit Sharma.

Harbhajan Singh Said,”Yashasvi Jaiswal’s knock is proof that class is permanent. Form is temporary @ybj_19 and there shouldn’t be any debate about Keepar batsman. @IamSanjuSamson should walk into the Indian team for the T20 World Cup and also be groomed as the next T20 captain for India after Rohit. koi shak ???”

Shashi Tharoor, a Member of Parliament from Thiruvananthapuram, also expressed his agreement, stating that Samson deserves opportunities that he has not been given in the past.

Shashi Tharoor Said,”Delighted to agree with my fellow MP @harbhajan_singh on both @ybj_19 and @IamSanjuSamson ! Have been arguing for years that Sanju has not had the selectorial breaks he deserved. Now he is the leading Keeper-batsman in the @IPL but is still not discussed when the team is debated. Justice for Sanju!”

Additionally, former Australian captain Aaron Finch praised Samson’s leadership qualities. Samson has performed exceptionally well for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024, scoring 314 runs in eight matches at an average of 62.80 and a strike rate of 152.43. Despite his success, Samson faces tough competition for a spot in the World Cup squad, particularly from Delhi Capitals’ captain Rishabh Pant, who has been in outstanding form since returning from injury. Pant has scored 342 runs in nine matches at an average of around 49 and a strike rate of over 161. Both Samson and Pant have made significant contributions to their respective teams, but the competition for a place in the World Cup squad remains intense.
