When Will Jos Buttler Return To Action? Here Is The Latest Update

The star England wicket-keeper batter Jos Buttler has not played a single match since his team lost to India in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2024 in June. However, the batter is all set to return to competitive cricket by playing in the T20 Blast Quarter Final.

Jos Buttler was set to participate in the Hundred but had to sit out because of a calf injury he picked up while getting ready for the tournament. He was supposed to play for the Manchester Originals in the event’s second edition.

After missing the entire tournament, the wicketkeeper-batsman is expected to make his comeback for Lancashire in their T20 Blast quarterfinal match against Sussex on September 4. The knockout stage of the T20 Blast begins on September 3.

To gain his fitness, Buttler is currently working with the England physio Craig de Weymarn. While putting some posts on his official Instagram handle, Jos Buttler captioned – “Another good session in the bank.” In another Instagram post, he wrote: “Picking up injuries as a professional sportsman is always frustrating and I was gutted to miss the Hundred this year.”

Jos Buttler hasn’t played for Lancashire this year, but he might make his first appearance for them next month. His participation in the quarterfinal depends on his fitness Test.
