What makes Bumrah a world-class bowler, reveals Mitchell Starc

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was exceptional in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which was played in Perth. India was outplayed by Australia in the first inning at 150 runs and it seems, that men in blue will be going to face a lot of struggle. However, Bumrah along with Harshit Rana and Mohammed Siraj made the Australians crave for runs.

Meanwhile, the star fast bowler of Australia Mitchell Starc has praised Bumrah for his exceptional performance and game sense. Bumrah action has always been the talk of the town and highlighting the same Starc said that it is not easy for anyone to carry such action as it carries a lot of risk.

Mitchell Starc Praise for Bumrah

After the first day game, Starc said, “Maybe, he’s obviously got a fair bit of hyperextension in, that elbow and does, things, a lot of actions, one that you do. So, there’s no surprise that he’s been a fantastic bowler across the formats for a long time. And again, his skills were on show today as to how, how good he is.”

He further added, “So, yeah, I’m sure there’s something in that release point. That’s significant to his action. It’s something a lot of people can’t do, so I’m not, I’m certainly not going to go and try it. I’ll probably snap.”

India’s stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly on the first day of the Perth Test and took four wickets. He got important Australian players out, including Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, and debutant Nathan McSweeney. Bumrah finished with great bowling figures of 4/17 in ten overs.
