New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry shone during the second session on Day 2 of the first Test against India, displaying outstanding bowling and fielding skills. His destructive bowling spell caused India to crumble, leading to one of their lowest totals ever in Test cricket at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Henry’s accurate bowling and excellent fielding were crucial in New Zealand’s dominance, putting them on the verge of causing a historic collapse for India.

Henry didn’t just shine with his bowling, his great fielding was also a highlight of the match. With India in trouble at 40/8, Jasprit Bumrah tried a wild shot at a short ball from William O’Rourke. The ball went high into the air, looking like it would safely land near deep square leg.

Henry was standing at fine leg to take a break but had other plans. He ran quickly across the field, covering a lot of ground to reach the ball. Henry dived fully and caught the ball just inches from the ground.

The crowd cheered as Bumrah, out for only 1 run, headed back to the pavilion. Henry’s brilliant catch showed his all-round skills and highlighted New Zealand’s strong fielding.

On Day 2 of the stumps, New Zealand had scored 180/3 in 50 overs. Rachin Ravindra stands at 22 runs while Daryl Mitchell is on 14 runs.

Indian innings ended at 46 runs where Rishabh Pant(20) and Yashasvi Jaiswal(13) were the only batters to touch the double figure. For New Zealand, Matt Henry got the maximum five wickets while William ORourke got four wickets.
