Indian opener Abhishek Sharma and Sufiyan Muqeem, the bowler of the Pakistan cricket team argued during the Men’s T20 emerging Aisa Cup match between India A and Pakistan A on October 19. The match was being played at AI Amerat and in this high-voltage, the clash between these players made it more dramatic.

Abhishek was playing well, hitting five fours and two sixes with 35 runs from 22 balls. However, after this good start the batter was dismissed after the power play, the left-handed batter was dismissed by Muqeem.

Abhishek tried to hit a big shot over the off-side but only managed to get a leading edge. Pakistan got their first wicket when Qasim Akram took a brilliant diving catch, with India’s score at 68 for one in 6.1 overs. Abhishek and Prabhsimran Singh were hitting their shots comfortably and Pakistan needed a big break from the Indian hitters.

After dismissing Abhishek, Muqeem signaled for him to be quiet and gave him an aggressive send-off. Abhishek, unhappy with this moved towards the Pakistan A bowler in anger.

The on-field umpires, Rahul Asher and Chamara de Zoysa, stepped in to calm things down. Despite the incident, India A won the match by 7 runs and avenged their loss in the final of the previous edition.

In the last nine months, Abhishek Sharma has been in the limelight for his devastating batting. It took him some time to get noticed by the national selectors after competing in the 2018 U19 World Cup in New Zealand.

After opening the batting for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League along with Travis Head, he became a nationwide sensation among fans.

Abhishek marked his debut during the Zimbabwe tour with a brilliant century. At just 24 years old, he has already taken a combined 84 wickets across first-class, List-A, and T20 cricket, showcasing his skills not just with the bat but also as a formidable bowler.
