The star all-rounder Shivam Dube has been ruled out from the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh due to a back injury. In light of his absence, the Senior Selection Committee has decided to bring in Tilak Varma as a replacement.

The left-handed young batter Tilak Varma is a promising talent. He will join the Indian squad in Gwalior on Sunday morning to prepare for the series. Dube’s injury comes as a setback for India, as he plays a pivotal role with both bat and ball, particularly in the shorter format of the game. His all-round abilities have been crucial in recent performances. Dube has been a pivotal part for Chennai Super Kings and team India will miss his service.

However, Tilak Varma, known for his consistent performances in domestic cricket and the IPL, is expected to add depth to the squad. India will be hoping for a strong showing in the series, despite the loss of Dube.
