One of the experienced batters of Katnatka Karun Nair, who has had a lot of difficulties, is working to restart his cricket career and hopes to play Test cricket again. He wants to focus on one thing at a time, as he thinks planning too far ahead might hold him back.
Even though it’s been seven years since he last played for India, Nair has recently started to show his old form again by scoring runs for Vidarbha and Northamptonshire in English county cricket.
Nair’s recent games in domestic and county cricket have sparked hopes that he might return to international cricket. Over the past year, he has been in better form, scoring many runs for Vidarbha and Northamptonshire.
In early 2023, Nair performed exceptionally well with Northamptonshire, scoring 249 runs in three matches with an average of 83, and hitting a century against Surrey, who won the championship. Later in the year, he continued his good form and scored 487 runs in seven matches with an average of 49, and got another century against Glamorgan.
Nair is currently focusing on leading the Mysore Warriors in the KSCA Maharaja T20. With the team now in the semifinals, he hopes to end this successful start to the season by winning the title.
