Shakib Al Hasan Throws Ball Angirly On Mohammad Rizwan, Fined By ICC

The ICC has taken action against Shakib Al Hasan for losing his temper on Day 5 of the first Test against Pakistan in Rawalpindi. He was fined 10% of his match fee and given one demerit point. Shakib violated the ICC’s code of conduct by angrily throwing the ball at Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, out of frustration because Rizwan was deliberately wasting time.

The ICC statement reads, “Shakib was penalized in accordance with Article 2.9 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “throwing a ball (or any other item of cricket equipment such as a water bottle) at or near a Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire, Match Referee or any other third person in an inappropriate and/or dangerousandr during an International Match.”

The incident occurred in the 33rd over of the second innings when Rizwan wasn’t ready to face the Bangladesh star. Shakib threw the ball at the right-handed batter.

Shakib is known for his angry outbursts and has been penalized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board and the ICC before. He is also involved in a murder case.

Shakib didn’t perform well with the bat but took four wickets, helping Bangladesh secure their first Test win over Pakistan.
