Son of the former Indian legendary batter Rahul Dravid has been picked for the U-19 series against Australia. He will play in both the ODI and four-day matches.
In this series, the ODI games will happen in Puducherry and the four-day matches are slated to be played in Chennai. Mohd Amaan will captain the one-day team, while Soham Patwardhan will lead the four-day team.
Samit Dravid was picked up by Mysuru Warriors in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 player auction. Mysuru Warriors, who finished as the runner-up last season, acquired Samit for Rs 50,000. He is a versatile middle-order batter and medium-pace bowler.
Samit is an all-rounder who can both bat in the middle order and bowl medium pace. He was also a member of the Karnataka Under-19 team that won the Cooch Behar Trophy for the 2023-24 season, and he played for the Karnataka State Cricket Association XI in a three-day match against Lancashire in Alur.
