Star Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah made a surprising claim about the star Indian batter Virat Kohli. He said that Kohli is not the fittest player in the team. Instead, Bumrah chose himself as the fittest player. Bumrah will be playing in India’s upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

Virat Kohli is widely recognized as one of the fittest cricketers in the game. From the start of his career, he has been in great shape and has kept up the same fitness level.

At 35, Kohli remains a strong competitor against younger players and frequently fields in important positions. Both his performance and fitness have continued to improve over the years.

While talking at an event, Bumrah said, “I know the answer that you are searching for but I would like to say my name because I am a fast bowler. I have been playing for a while, so you know, being a fast bowler and playing in this country in the heat takes a lot of requirements. So, I will always promote fast bowlers and I will always take a fast bowler’s name,” Bumrah said at the event.

Even though Jasprit Bumrah didn’t mention Virat Kohli by name, Kohli will always be a fitness role model for future cricketers. His leadership helped introduce a fitness culture in the Indian team and push past previous fitness limits.

During his captaincy, Kohli made the Yo-Yo test mandatory and prioritized fitness for the team. This focus on fitness led players to improve their conditioning, raising the overall standards of the team.
