IPL 2025: Rohit Sharma Will Leave Mumbai Indians? R Ashwin Gives a Huge Statement

The talks of controversy between Rohit Sharma and Mumbai Indians management is going on and everyone is speculating that Rohit might get a new team for the IPL 2025 tournament. Meanwhile, the legendary Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has a different opinion on the matter of Rohit.

R Ashwin believes that Rohit is not going to change his team and he will stick with Mumbai Indians for the upcoming season as well. He claimed that money does not matter to Hitman Sharma.

Rohit was removed as captain of the Mumbai Indians before IPL 2024 and replaced by all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Although Sharma led Mumbai to five IPL titles, the team’s owners and management decided to bring back Hardik the captain who was already captaining Hardik Pandya.

Ashwin mentioned that Rohit would still be happy to play for Mumbai even though he is no longer the captain.

The star spinner said, “Rohit doesn’t want any headache as he has led India and Mumbai Indians for a long time. Even if he is not the captain of MI, he would love to play as a pure batter. After a stage, money doesn’t matter to some of the big names.”

The right-handed batter scored 417 runs in 14 games for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024, but the team managed to win only four of those matches.

Recently India won the ICC T20I World Cup trophy under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and recently he said that he is looking to win some more titles.

“I have won five IPL trophies, and I am not going to stop because once you taste success, you want to lift more Cups. We will try to win more trophies as a team in the future.”
