The young wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson showed his true power-hitting capabilities today during the third T20I match against Bangladesh at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Sanju Samson smashed 111 runs in just 47 balls with the help of 11 fours and eight sixes.
The highlight of Sanju Samson’s knock was his five consecutive sixes against the Bangladeshi spinner Rishabh Hossain. It was the 10th over of the match where the Rajasthan Royals captain took the spinner on remand and smashed cracking sixes. The first ball of the over went without any run but Samson geared up and did brutal hitting accumulating 30 runs from a single over.

Samson’s innings included 11 fours and 8 sixes, which kept the scoreboard ticking at an incredible run rate. His aggressive batting style not only entertained the crowd but also put immense pressure on the opposing bowlers. He was particularly effective against Mustafizur Rahman, hitting him for several boundaries and rotating the strike efficiently.
Despite some early wickets falling, including the quick dismissals of Abhishek Sharma, Samson stood firm at the crease along with the Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav who played a quick knock of 75 runs. His partnership with Hardik Pandya contributed a quick-fire 47 runs, was crucial in building a solid foundation for the team’s innings. Riyan Parag also added valuable runs, scoring 34 off just 13 balls.
Team India posted a total of 297 runs at the loss of six wickets in alloted 20 overs which is also the second-highest run by any team in international T20I.
