In the inaugural session back in 1196, the Australian team visited India for the only Test match against the Sachin Tendulkar-led team. The match was played at the then Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi where Indian bowlers showed their dominance in the first inning and then Indian batters took it head on with the superb century of wicket-keeper Nayan Mongia who scored 156 runs and Sourav Ganguly got 66 runs.
