Gautam Gambhir Picks His All-Time Best Indian XI, No Place For Jasprit Bumrah And Rohit Sharma

Former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir has picked his all-time best Indian playing XI. Surprisingly, there is no place for current Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah in his team. Gautam Gambhir has picked this team while having a conversation with SportsKeeda.

For the opening pair, he has got Virender Sehwag and himself. At number three he has kept the legendary Rahul Dravid followed by the god of cricket Sachin Tendulkar.

At number five, he has picked the star Indian batter, Virat Kohli. As we know both Gambhir and Kohli played an important part in the final of the 2011 ODI World Cup. The star Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been placed at number six in his team.

Talking about the wicket-keeper choice, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been placed at number seven. In this playing XI, Gautam Gambhir has kept two spinners and two fast bowlers.

Anil Kumble and Ravichandran Ashwin are his picked spinners. On the other hand, all-rounder Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan are his fast bowlers.

Gambhir made his first appearance for India in an international match on April 11, 2003, in an ODI against Bangladesh in Dhaka. Throughout his career, he played 58 Tests, 147 ODIs, and 37 T20Is. He was India’s top run-scorer in the 2007 T20 World Cup and also scored the most runs in the final against Pakistan in Johannesburg on September 24, 2007, under MS Dhoni’s captaincy.
