There are reports that Rohit Sharma might miss one of the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar series in Australia. Despite this, the Indian captain shared a video showing him practicing hard in the nets.

After leading India to a big win against Bangladesh, Rohit is now getting ready for the upcoming series against New Zealand, which starts next week. Before joining the team, Rohit trained in Mumbai.

In the video shared on his Instagram, Rohit Sharma is seen in good form, hitting the ball powerfully in the nets. Before he started practicing, someone asked the Indian captain if he would hit the first ball for a six. Rohit quickly responded, saying, “Pagal Ho Gaya Hai Kyaa?”

Earlier on Thursday, PTI reported that Rohit Sharma might miss at least one Test in India’s upcoming five-match series in Australia. He has told the BCCI that he may skip one of the first two Tests of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy for personal reasons. The tour starts on November 22, with the first Test in Perth and the second Test starting on December 6 in Adelaide.

A BCCI source while talking to the PTI agency said, “There isn’t any complete clarity about the situation. It is understood that Rohit has intimated to the BCCI that there is a possibility that due to a pressing personal matter, he might have to skip one of the two Tests at the beginning of the series.”

However, it is still unclear who the vice-captain of the Test team will be, as there was no official deputy for Rohit during the recent two-match Test series against Bangladesh at home.
